Ian Steel - 1963 to 1965 and 1967 to 1969 | ||||
Ian
Steel was born in 1937 in Saskatchewan, Canada and studied at the Vancouver
School of Art, Design and Pottery. On leaving the St Ives Pottery in 1969,
he started a new pottery in Nanoose Bay, Canada. He returned to England
in 1977 to establish a pottery at Chudleigh in Devon. Stoneware and porcelain domestic ware using ash, oatmeal, tenmoku and celadon glazes. |
